About
BizMile Tracker
BizMile
Tracker was
developed over the course
of 4 years after a
tax and business problem was seen as a cartographic opportunity.
We are currently seeking to complete a round of funding
to grow BizMile Tracker into a mobile solution that tracks
your miles automatically.
The
management team is composed of E.Elizabeth Hager; James
M. McMullen; and Nicholas V. Sluchevsky.
As founders
they have deep experience in map-based solutions and naturally
see the world cartographically. Clients
have included: Canon Computer Products, RealEstate.Com,
Nokia, Ask.com, Qualcomm, deCarta and others.
Our
Internet native cartographic approach asks questions and
seeks solutions that have not been tried before. Does a
mapping application have to have a map? What can cartography
do to assist and inform the world of useful intel in the
bigger and bigger piles of information?
Previously,
two of the founders created a hypermedia product line called
the Small Blue Planet World and Street Atlases for educational
markets. The seven disk CD-Rom series received significant
media attention such as from Scientific American, The New
York Times and others because of their experimental innovations
in digital cartography. For example, the product line demonstrated
a number of firsts : it fused satellite and aerial images
with maps beginning in 1991,
time-change landscape image sets were
indexed on a
hypermedia digital spinning globe,
attached digital photos to maps by users in 1995, etc. Other
innovations were experiments in the comparative power of
geography for showing languages, history and landscape change.
The company won many awards for its pioneering and experimental
Maps
that Move® approach
to digital cartography.
